Are the worst 10% of Muslims better than the worst 10% of Catholics?
When I say the worst 10% I just mean the radical minority which causes unnecessary misery on the world. Often people see radical Islam as the worst religion in the world. Yet hasn’t the Pope and the Catholic faith in its most devote form caused even greater hardship on the world. Everyone is aware the problems associated with extremist Islam today but are you aware of the Catholic atrocities. In Africa the Catholic faith is responsible for much of the Aids epidemic. They deny Africa access to contraceptives such as condoms which would save millions of lives. Because of the Catholic control over Africa, millions more are born unwanted because the church view birth control and abortions as murder. Is it not better to die as either sperm or a fetus than live a life of misery and torture? If birth rates in catholic states like Nigeria were lower GDP per capita would rise. Africa would be happier but because of the Vatican and a minority of catholics millions suffer. I believe there should be more discussion on the benefits of each religion. Ignore senitivies of the followers if a religion creates misery it must be stopped. Would you stop a radical cult? What makes religion any different.

I just cant seem to remember, the last time I heard of a Catholic flying a plane into a building or blowing himself up in a market and killing nothing but innocent people. Yes there were follies in the catholic theolegy, but they were fueled by conquest and greed and not true religious persuit.

I hate super Christians, but Ill take a Christian over a Muslim any day, At least the christian will smile to my face and condemn me once i turn around, The muslim will probably hang me or stone me. j/k

The Catholic Church is NOT responsible for the epidemic of AIDS/HIV or unwanted pregnancies in Africa or anywhere else. That is the fault of people having sex outside of marriage. Dont blame the Church or God for the will of man.

Interesting thoughts. The catholic church is associated with much corruption I know. Heck, they go into 3rd world countries and tell people that they can get them into the USA and a better life if only they will take some bible classes etc and then catholic charities is responsible for them when they get here - at least they say that but most of these people are just dumped here and have yet to even learn the language or culture. Many are of the Muslim faith and they worry for their children because they are thrust into a so called christian country with different ideas than what they know. It's so sad. I had the chance to go and teach the cildren on the weekends and it was quite the experience.... *sigh*.... And there are the nasty extremist muslims that make the rest of the us look bad. So maybe comparing the 2 groups isn't the thing to do. But definitely there are "bad" people everywhere in the world and it doeesn't matter what faith they are.

I don't support the Catholic Church on many views, but HIV is caused by irresponsible behavior, not by anything else. Even if there were condoms, many people don't want to use it because it ruins the experience. Also, poverty in Africa is caused by many other factors that are a lot more complex than just the birth rate, such as lousy governments and political instability. It's kind of contradictory that people who would promote abortion are the same people who promote having more sex, which is what leads to pregnancy and HIV in the first place.

It's not the Catholics that are causing the problems in Africa, It's the bleeding hearts wanna save the world missionaries that are the problem in Africa, just so you know the catholic church dose not and has not any control over Africa, and they certainly are not responsible for the aids epidemic either, It's their own government that denies access to health and contraceptives, if your going to lay blame then blame it on the real problem source.

Your right. The church is a self centered, sanctimonious group with their own agenda and who teaches their own doctrine not the word of god.Look at the history of the church and Muslims. Muslims didn't invade the New World and kill the men, rape the woman, send the gold to the church all in the name of god. Muslims didn't torture and kill 10's of thousands during the Inquisitions in the name of god and church. Muslims didn't start the Crusades in the name of god and church. What the radical Muslims are doing now pale in what the church has done in the past 2,000 years. My mother was catholic born in the US and my father was Muslim from Yemen and they got along great. Me I'm an agnostic and feel the evils of the church are worse than the evils of the Muslims.

If the people in Africa would stop having premarital sex, they wouldn't be having the problems they're having. Contraception, most times, does not stop AIDS. Did you know that the AIDS virus is 25 times smaller than the male sperm cell? We already know that pregnancy does occur even when a condom is used because the sperm cell passes through microscopic holes in the condom. If the sperm pass through, how much easier is it for the smaller AIDS virus to pass through? God bless.
