Some people feel threatened by the idea of a black pope, I think because the african church is very traditional and conservative. The idea that the last pope will be black is just silly, and there is no truth in it at all. 2 : no way is that anywhere in any Bible, religious book, or even prophecy. how should you feel? probably hurt, sad, disgusted, but it's sometimes best to leave ignorant people to play in their own garden. unfortunately, it is this type of religious ignorance that gives religion a bad name, and subsequently has messed up the world. this isn't religion, but religious ignorance. Luckily, it sounds like you know better. we are spirits with souls walking inside these bodies. the skin color is like the paint color on a car. makes the appearance - but in no way affects the engine. The Word is the word. People corrupt it. Sorry that happened. if you're interested, according to the Malachi prophecies, there's only one more pope anyway - Peter the Roman. |
