Even the Vatican admits UFO and Scientific Evolution so why do some in the GOP still question this?
There is no contradiction between faith in God and believing that aliens may live somewhere in the universe, according to the Vatican’s chief astronomer, the Associated Press reports. In the interview with the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, the Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes is quoted as saying he doesn’t rule out the possibility that life could have developed on other planets. “Just as we consider earthly creatures as 'a brother,' and 'sister,' why should we not talk about an 'extra-terrestrial brother'? It would still be part of creation,” said Funes. “Thinking otherwise would be like ‘putting limits’ on God’s omnipotence.” Funes discussed the relationship between science and faith, saying there was no contradiction between the two.

Why is the green man green

Most Christians follow the bible, not the Pope. The bible is unfallible. The Pope is not!
3 :
Scientific method is lacking---no actual pieces of spaceship, no alien bodies you can hold up. Nada. Nothing.
4 :
Because many GOP aren't catholic

Wouldn't it stand to reason that life on Earth is not the only life? The GOP doesn't want to admit this because they would lose their christian votes.

The Vatican is wrong about a lot of thing,s and that is one of the thing,s they are wrong about,

C4J, the Bible was written by humans to explain how we got where we were back then, so don't believe it is "infallible". No bodies, no crashed spaceships? There's also no cross to touch or punctured hands to put your finger through. Does that make it more difficult to believe? To look at mankind and think this was the best God could do is an insult to God. What if He did make a perfect race? What if He doesn't want us to be a bad influence?

Because, contrary to popular belief, the GOP is not a religious organization that must adhere to Christian beliefs. There are plenty of Democrats who also have a hard time with evolution. What I find fascinating is that those who dismiss evolution have never honestly tried to understand it at all. They will tell you they have but their questions or concerns are easily answered by a child. The GOP is using evolutionary theory as a political point so they can garner votes. It's the same reason they use abortion as a political point. They have no intention on changing the laws. They want votes. In some states, there is a bit of movement but on a national level, there is nothing. They have had their chances many times and yet they have not even tried.

It's.... redundant to even suggest there's no contradiction in between religion and the existence of E.T.s Yeah, you COULD believe in both. Of course we are not the only ones in the Universe, I figured that out when I was nine. Do you REALLY think they'd have any idea what the hell religion even is? Maybe if they've studied us. But I highly doubt that a race much more advanced than us would succumb to such silly ideas.
