For Christians, Hindus and Buddhists and Atheists and Agnostics... what do you think of this...?
There is more and more a culture of reciprocity ! 1) The largest Mosque in Europe was purposefully built in front of the Vatican - It was financed By Saoudi Arabia for a community that coudn't afford it and that did not even live in that area of town.... 2) In Greece, there is plan to Build one of the largest Mosques in Europe, with Minaret, right in front of the Acropoles... Orthodox Christians represent 98% of the population... It was Financed by Saoudis to a community that could not afford it, also not living predominently in that area of town. 3) The Turks ofther the 1926 partition (Christians Greeks leaving Turky and Muslim Turks moving towards Islamic Turkey) has transform most of the Orthodox sanctuary into Museums or even into Mosques... (Costantinople is like Rome or Jerusalem for Orthodox) 4) It is illegal to wear religious symbols in many Islamic countries, it is illegal to preach or gather for another religion than Islam in most Islamic countries yet... Yet these countries finance lobbyist group so that Muslims in FREE country can get FAVORED treatments... and Finance the constructions of Mosques WHERE THEY WANT and freely... In many Muslims countries, you MAY built a church or Synagog (and Hindu Buddhist is not treated the same) in specific ISOLATED quaranteened locations... Outside those location it is illegal to share, preach or teach your faith even to those who ask for it... Please comment about this Should we not start asking reciprocity ? Yes this question MAY provoke controversy YET, these Mosques are being pushed and built innocently ??? In most Islamic countries you are not even allowed to leave Islam and be an Atheist or Agnostic without being sentence to prison or Death as described in their Koranic scriptures... Aaron, There is no Denial of History in the Post Christian and Hindu and Buddhist world... And you should reread about the Crusades... The causes, how long they have actually lasted each as they totalled about 15 ATTEMPS of failed fights... for a total of less than 13 years of occupation with one occupation of 10years that was negotiated with the Turks without a fight... Ano, Your comment is odd. What does it demonstrate ? It could demonstrate that it is improper for a Muslim than connot convert a church to enter a church, It could demonstrat that Islam does have lack of respect of other denomination and will resort to force, it could demonstrate that this man wants to stay Muslim without mingling with Christians ... And maybe your version also COULD be used as a vertueous man who cannot CHange Islam and follow his HUMANITARIAN heart to protect other HUMAN BEINGS as EQUALS. No one talked about removing any freedom of religion. The core subject is about Religious freedom yet, why would we be gullible and not be aware of what is happening elswhere... Why isn't this also for Muslims? They have a right to answer this question too. Here's what I think: This will cause controversy for some people.

Clorox bleach is still the best to keep those white robes and hoods all sparkly !

I think it would be wisest to set the whole nine yards aside and start fixating on real-world data. All the wasted, go-no-place junk while our world of people wallow around in our own stupidity. Religions in fact are the root-seeds of the bulk of human-world problems. Enough would be simple respect for one and other as being human.

i will tell you something and you judge: did you know that Omar bin AL khatab a great Muslim leader refused to pray in a church fearing that Muslims after him will unjustly transfer it to a mosque. and he prayed at the door of that church and you can still find that church in Palestine to this day.He refused to pray there just in case that it may be changed to a mosque. That man did what all Muslims should do but unfortunately no all Muslims follow Allah's orders.

Don't start thinking that Christians have always been perfect. Remember the Crusades, the inquisition, etc? Our history has its flaws as well.

Atheism is not a religion nor a spiritual path. It is nothing because they do not believe in anything divine. I'm not a Christian. I'm a Neo-Pagan.

1) The Vatican, although amongst the smallest internationally recognised countries is still an independant state with its own standing army (the Swiss Guard). The Mosque is technically within a different country. Also it often a good idea to group buildings of similar usage (industral, retail, domestic, religious worship, etc.) together as this is usually less visually obtrusive than building them without any kind of planning - for example it would look pretty silly to have a Mosque or Sinagogue in the middle of a shoppin precinct or a school in the middle of an industral area with no houses. 2) An acropolis is not a sacred building to any modern religion, and although a follower of Ares, Athena, Zeus etc may have legitimate cause of complaint I cannot see any fault with building a new temple next to the ruins of an old one. 3) It is specifically against Koranic law to defile Orthadox Christian shrines. The Prophet Muhammad states that the only iconic images it is wrong to destroy are those of Jesus (revered by Islam as one of the prophets) and Mary. The reasons for conversion of these sites must be politically rather than religiously motivated as such behaviour is not in keeping with Islam. 4) It is often the case that other contries have different standards which are shocking or barbarous in comparison to those of one's native land. The best way of changing the customs of others is by demonstrating a level of compassion and tollerence they will grow to envy and then emulate.

yes. i have heard many times even indian hindus deplomats were not allowed to keep Geeta with them for their personal use in saudi arabia. saudi arab a month or so ago proposed indian government reconstruction of jamamasjid in delhi. it financed capital of pakistan islambad with the condition that palkistan will let it also built a mosque . pakistan naturally agreed as it was muslim country and that mosqe i read somewhere produses most of the muslim fanatics involved in terrorism today whether it was saudi' intention or not. but are they not following pricident set by christians when missinaries goto other countries to spread the word. mosque is not only relegious worship place . often they also run madarsas(school) from it. and if we leave out some christian countries which were ever colonised others or were a colony themselves and thus have mixed population they are also quite rigid. recently in russia orthodox church not only stopped construction of a temple for local hindus also Archbishop went on to accuse Krishna of being a satan. in north east india where christians are in majority they got converts from tribals even on gun point. and any hindu organisation can not enter in those areas. even their dead bodies were not found. local Baptist church openly supports antiindian activities and strange as it may sound often they collaborate with ISI and muslim terrorist organisation in neighbouring Bangladesh. they have torally destroyed local culture to such an extent that now local church claims that it never had one. note that Nagas and manipur are mentioned in mahabharat too so it is a pure lie. funny as it is while all the churches in india have been using force, fraud, inducement and deceit all modes to get converts the church most actively involved in terrorism is Baptist Church from America, most vocal country when it comes to relegious choices! Muslims are learning from christian tactics and while christianity has enterd in somewhat more tolerant phase today, muslims being 600 years younger are still behind them. Let us hope evntually we all will learn to live peacefully and with mutual respect someday. and pray that , that till that day the human race survives and different cultures can sustain such impacts. added : i read your link of article by irfan hussain. i totally agree and understand your point. but untill more irfan hussains speak up and enough times this problem is going to persist. as i said before just as christians to day are more open minded today just hope muslims will reach there too before it is too late.

We already stated that for most religions, in fact, the Supreme Being who planned and created a Jew, created a Christian or a Muslim, the same God created the hands of a Hindu created the feet of a Christian and the brain of a Buddhist and the eyes of a Taoist and the liver of a Jew or Muslim... Yes!, in fact, we are all brothers in God the creator of each one of us... and we are all brothers in God to love us, never to hate not to have prejudice of anyone Yes, most religions preach and try to practice their owen way but the Golden rule is love each other, because we all are brothers in God for my friends who are Judaism Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. - Leviticus 19:18, NIB for my friends who are Christianity Do to others as you would have them do to you, Luke 6:31 NIB for my friends who are muslim No one of you is a believer until he desires for his brother that which he desires for himself. - Hadith recorded by al-Bukhari, Sunnah for my friends who are Hinduism, This is the sum of duty; do naught onto others what you would not have them do unto you. Mahabharata 5,1517 for my friends who are Buddhism, Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful. Udana-Varga 5,18 dear friend what i can tell you in aswer of your question that the best way for any religion is do as you would be done by but fire cant be extinguished by fire do you know The Persian Empire established unprecedented principles of human rights in the 6th century BC under the reign of Cyrus the Great. After his conquest of Babylon in 539 BC, the king issued the Cyrus Cylinder, discovered in 1879 and recognized today as the first human rights document. The cylinder declared that citizens of the empire would be allowed to practice their religious beliefs freely. The cylinder also abolished slavery, so all the palaces of the kings of Persia were built by paid workers in an era where slaves typically did such work. nowadays very little systematic work is being done on the implementation of human rights in Islamic societies that̢۪s a bitter truth in our life but come to think of Most religions agree to preach and promote good ethics, good human conduct in the light of good moral principles.and don̢۪t get furious at any special nation or country as they have some wrongs rules which not seems to be fair try to put the things in their right with your actions but not with criticise but remember u can change the world with your actions .always actions speak more louder than words

What is the right thing to do? The right thing is to allow everyone the freedom to choose his or her own religion. If some nations refuse to accept this as right, then they refuse. We should not then refuse to allow members of the faith these countries profess the same freedoms other allow. Anger, hatred and prejudice have never been overcome by applying Anger, hatred and counter-prejudice. Only calm, affectionate acceptance will calm these bitter feelings. If a nation is treating it's citizens poorly or inhumanly, then other nations should strive to correct this issue. Not with violence, but by withholding non-essential aid. If Muslim nations cry out that Muslims in other nations should be treated fairly, then treat them fairly. If these same nations treat Christian or Jews poorly, then do not punish the Muslims in the foreign countries, punish the countries with a boycotts or with U.N. sanctions. There is NEVER a just reason to remove the freedoms of a group of people.
