The news sins from the Vatican

The news sins from the Vatican?
I read today on a news site that the Vatican has issued new sins for the 21st century... i thought sins were things that were given to us by god in your bibles....what happened to Moses and his 10 commandments Pandora, Adam & Eve i thought our sins were given to us to insure we do the proper thing in life? So how can the Vat say that were sinning cause were driving our Chevy's and Honda's we can't live in society today with out them, and if god were as all knowing as their bibles say he is then god have seen our mechanical future and would have informed back then. So my question is, do you think these knew sins are legible.

I'll have to research these new sins. Guess they gotta make up the rules as they go along to keep people interested. wierd, that's all I can say http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080310/hl_nm/pope_sins_dc_3

Anything to keep us convinced we're going to Hell. Now that the old rules are pretty much ignored, they gotta come up with new ones so we don't forget what disgusting, immoral individuals we are. Ugh...

because it's a bunch of B.S., that's why. all sins are man made. It's just common sense. Just do the right thing.

I highly doubt that there are any "new sins" that humans could commit. Collectively we've done it all.

I heard somewhere that religion was a creation to keep a primitive people under control. I suppose when the miracles that happened as written in the bible happen for people of our time with conclusive evidence as to who is doing it - then people will more readily believe. Nonetheless it's important to have faith in life.

I would check the Vatican site to make sure. I don't think that the Vatican can not create new sins. Just remind us that sins come wrapped in new packages.

This is not a list of new sins. Again the media has either misinterpreted or purposely blown out of proportion a story involving the Church. The latest case is the interview a Vatican official gave to the Vatican newspaper on the social impact of sin in a globalized society. Here are some of the "headlines": + “Vatican introduces more ways to sin“ + “Seven More Sins, Thanks to Vatican“ + “New sins as bad as the old sins — Vatican official“ + “Vatican Updates Its Thou-Shalt-Not List“ + “Recycle or go to Hell, warns Vatican” This whole outlook assumes that there is a list of sins we can look up, besides the Ten Commandments or the seven deadly sins. The Catechism of the Catholic Church does not even have a list of sins, although it does have an index of covered subjects. For the real story, see: Social effects of sin greater than ever, says Vatican official: http://www.catholicnews.com/data/stories/cns/0801336.htm For more information on the media misreporting this story, please see: http://www.cwnews.com/news/viewstory.cfm?recnum=57130 With love in Christ.
